Excited that we're finally ready to start talking about tabula.eth publicly! Tabula was a hackathon project started by @samepant and I at @EthereumDenver earlier this year, and then carried forward to a production-readiness by the @dOrg_tech pod working as part of @GnosisGuild.

Builder of the month

Andrei Taranu

Job: Decentralist Product Manager

Specialization: Solution Architecture, Smart Contracts, Full Stack Web/Desktop/Mobile Apps

Nationality: Romanian

Location: Bucharest (not for long)

Hobbies: 3D design in Unreal Engine, making music and making videos.

Andrei shared with us some thoughts on his experiences being an active dOrg member:

What do you wish other people knew about dOrg?

Two things:

  1. The mission. A few months back, there was a series of workshops around defining what dOrg stands for, and the idea that came out of that was: We’re here to bring about a world of DAOs. Or at least to help with that. I wish other people would know our mission so they can call upon us if they’re ever looking to form a DAO and need help.

  2. The culture. The relatively short time since I joined was enough for me to notice that dOrg has one of the most chill vibes out of all professional organizations that I’ve been around. I wish other people knew how it feels to be in a DAO, because that would also encourage DAO adoption.

What’s your work style like?

It depends on what the project needs.

If I’m working towards a deliverable, I usually break things down into sprints, and pick the individual objectives so that no sprint is longer than 4 days. During the sprint I don’t really focus on anything else (except emergencies and personal sustenance).

If it’s just an administrative/maintenance gig, I use the calendar to timebox work items.

What are you currently working on?

Speaking strictly of dOrg-related work:

On Tezos Homebase I’m dealing with the day to day maintenance and dev tasks and  building the roadmap to boost user acquisition in the long run.

On Amnesty I’m participating in the solution design process.

I have the Daoification app on the backburner, and some of the stuff that I’m currently designing for Amnesty fits very well into it.
